Chris Pomares I I grew up in Manhattan, Hermosa, and Malaga Cove, Palos Verdes in the 50’s and 60’s. In the late 50’s when I’m 7 or 8 our next door neighbor had a new Speedster He would take me to Vasek Polak to look at the Porsche’s. That began the dream’s about Porsche’s. In the mid 70’s while living in Aspen I bought my first Porsche. A 59 Super with Rudge wheels. That set me back $1400.00. A 914-6 would follow in the late 70’s when I lived in Sun Valley for the princely sum of $8000.00. Then I went without a Porsche for 20 years to focus on business. I bought this car around 2010. It’s been in a constant state of development ever since. It has been written up in Europe, Excellence, the 912 Registry, and Flat Sixes online. (I would love to see it in PANO so others who don't know the car could read about it.) It would take too many pages to cover all the subtle changes here. I’m now building one for a good friend.

First 912 with a POLO engine. It’s a 4 cylinder with overhead cams like a 911 engine. We call it a 2CAM4. Stock 912 engines make 90hp. The 2.4 liter POLO 190hp. This is why we coined the name 912 Super. First with full engine management on a POLO engine
