2006 Cayman S

Color: Arctic Silver Metallic
From: Milwaukee, WI
Owner: Ted

First sold in Aug, 2006 at Porsche of Bellevue. The original owner put over 61K miles on the car before selling it to a relative in Chicago in 2014. After three years and 4,400 miles it was traded in at the Porsche Exchange. At that time the third owner flew to the mid-west and brought it back to the west coast. In 2022, the current owner bought the Cayman and had it shipped back to Wisconsin. This Cayman S was ordered from the factory with a rare group of options that effectively made it an early GTS: Black Leather Sport Seats, Sport Chrono, PASM, Sport Shifter, Sport Steering Wheel, 5mm Wheel Spacers, Bi-Xenon Headlamps, Auto Climate Control, Heated Seats, Bose Surround, Porsche Crest in Headrest, Alum Foot Rest, Black Mats - Porsche Lettering. These additional options were added after delivery: 19" Carrera Sport Wheels, Colored Center Caps, GT3 Front Brake Cooling Ducts, Sport Exhaust Tips, Clear Side Markers, Colored Wheel Lug Bolt Covers, OEM Front Trunk Liner, OEM Indoor and Outdoor Car Covers, Front Grill Screens, Custom Windshield Eyebrow. Four owners, the first two were women, one who won her Autocross class at Parade. Third owner was a PCA HPDE National Instructor. Current owner is also an Instructor who enjoys taking this well-equipped Cayman to the track.

Awards/Citations:

While the Cayman has been shown at various Concour's and in the corral at Rennsport Reunion VI, the paint is original and as a driver it has a well earned patina which does not show well against the garage queens. It was featured on the cover of the Yosemite Regions newsletter, El Portal (Mar 2020). The ECU report was used in a Panorama Tech article (Jan 2020) helping to explain Over Rev issues and how they effect engine reliability. There was a follow up article, The Over Rev Report, published in the El Portal, May 2020.
