The second generation Porsche 911/997 received several updates and improvements. This included a new more powerful engine thanks to Direct-Injection. The 3.8 liter Carrera S for 2009 now had 385 hp and 310 ft/1b torque. Also, prior issues with IMS bearing were eliminated altogether as these new engines did not have the bearing.... similar to the GT3 style Mezger motors.
