Introduced at the LA Auto Show in 2009, the Boxster Spyder was designed by Porsche to be a lightweight mid-engine roadster with Porsche saying in their press release, "the Boxster Spyder has been developed first and foremost for driving in the open air." Good thing too as the almost comically configured soft-top is at its best tucked into the boot. This regularly driven early production example includes such controversial options as air conditioning, radio, PDK, and "sofa" seats. The owner, who has a bad back and likes to drive year-round, appreciates the comfort and lack of foggy windows.
