One of 1,156, 1989 model year coupes sold in the United States. The last year of the iconic, G model/impact bumper series which started in 1974. This model was the predecessor to the 1989 Carrera 4/964. The Getty Design manufactured duck tail is an homage to the 1973-1974 Carrera special edition. The duck tail was the first rear spoiler that Porsche used to win the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1973 with Hurley Haywood and Peter Gregg winning by 27 laps ahead of their sister car.
